Junior Swim Clinics
Recommended for children aged 7 - 12 yrs old
Providing a series for kids to work on their freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke techniques, underwaters, starts off the blocks, flip turns and more.
This is a great chance for kids who are new to the swim team, trying out for a swim team and experienced competitive swimmers looking to refine their swimming technique and additional skills that can help them win the race.
Presenting a freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke & butterfly clinic for pre and junior squad level swimmers during the school holidays.
Focus will be on identifying basic technical issues and providing swimmers with the drills and advice to correct these errors.
Starts, flip turns and dives will also be addressed in this clinic.
Designed to refine your child’s swim technique, enhance efficiency, and boost overall swimming performance, its the perfect course to unlock your child’s full aquatic potential!

Freestyle & Backstroke Swim Clinic

Recommended for pre-squad, development, and junior squad swimmers
Recommended for children who want to swim competitively (competing from school level to national level) or looking to just swim for fitness.
The clinics will be designed & delivered by X Lab's head coach, Jared Butler. At age 17, Jared qualified for the U.S. Open and the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in the 200 Breaststroke and 200/400 IM, and has had the privilege of swimming alongside some of the world’s fastest swimmers, including Olympic champions Brendan Hansen, Aaron Peirsol, and Ryosuke Irie, and being coached by the legendary Eddie Reese and Kris Kubik. In 2018, Jared found his passion in coaching and in 2022, came to Singapore to lead the competitive swim squad at Sports Schooling’s X Lab.
Each clinic will follow the below guidelines:
- Warm-up
- Drill progression (understanding the important aspects of the stroke)
- Swim & Training Education (Putting it together, timing & important factors in training)
What level are these clinics aim at?
- Swimmers must have prior knowledge for the stroke, not learning the stroke.
- Butterfly: At a minimum swimmers must be able to swim 25m butterfly with fins on.
- Free, Fly & Back: At a minimum swimmers must be able to complete 50m unassisted for each stroke.
- Fees paid are non-refundable.
- Fees cannot be pro-rated for any lessons missed, regardless of reason, including medical.
- Participants must commit to BOTH dates of each clinic session. Carrying over sessions to the next clinic will not be allowed.
